Paolo Guardiola
Program Coordinator
Paolo Guardiola, was born in Tegucigalpa, Honduras. He graduated from the National Autonomous University of Honduras as a biologist, and completed his professional university practice with the Cuero y Salado Honduras Foundation. While there, he oversaw the monitoring carried out in the wildlife refuge and worked with different groups of fishers in the area. In addition to working as a volunteer on different occasions in the botanical garden of Lancetilla, he also joined reef monitoring programs carried out by the Healthy Reef Initiative on the north coast of Honduras. In 2019, Paolo was selected to be part of the Mesoamerican Reef Leadership Program. He currently works as the Program Coordinator for the Coral Reef Alliance in Trujillo Bay, where he develops governance processes and fisheries monitoring to protect the health of local coral reefs and communities.
